John Pesce | Partner, CEO & Co-Founder

John Pesce is TCG’s visionary co-founder and manager in charge. John leads a team of experienced, principled advisors in the sustained effort to provide an unprecedented level of customer service in the finance industry. Throughout his distinguished career, John has owned and managed a successful third party administrator, led marketing efforts for two of the largest third party administrators for public agencies in Texas, and served as an investment and financial advisor to individuals and employers in both the public and private sectors.

In response to his concern about the impact unscrupulous practitioners were having on the reputation of the investment advisory profession, John and his partners based their company and client relationships on a transparent, fee-based approach. The resulting advisory service inspires client confidence and offers a degree of predictability in any portfolio.

Mike Cochran | Partner, Co-Founder

Throughout his career, Mike has managed all types of retirement plans, and served as an officer in two Fortune 500 companies before co-founding TCG with John Pesce. He works primarily with institutional investors and provides financial planning and compensation advice for most of TCG’s public sector executive clients.

Mike has worked hard to forge a customer-driven culture at TCG, characterized by consistent fairness, unrivaled expertise and outstanding service for every client of the company. He is in demand as a speaker on investment fiduciary issues and author of several articles on retirement and compensation matters in well-known trade magazines.



Cab Gillbreath | Partner, Co-Chief Investment Officer

Cab has 30 years of experience in investment management, starting on Wall Street with EF Hutton and American Express, continuing with Texas Commerce Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) in Houston, and most recently as Manager of Investment Management at Northern Trust in Houston and Austin, where he had responsibility for the discretionary management of over $1 billion in assets for high net worth individuals, foundations and endowments.

Cab earned both his BA and MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

David E. Friedman | Partner, General Counsel and Compliance

David serves as TCG’s and Fairway Asset Management’s General Counsel. Previously, David oversaw the legal, finance, investor relations, technology and operations teams for KeyCorp’s (NYSE: KEY) SEC-registered investment advisor.

Prior to that, David was a director on Citigroup’s Global Prime Brokerage desk, managed all aspects of a commodities trading company and practiced law. David has a BA in management from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law. He is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and maintains his Series 4, 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations.

Mark Woolery | Partner, Chief Marketing Officer

For more than ten years, Mark has developed and led sales teams for organizations ranging from Fortune 100 entities to small privately held startups that experienced successful growth leading to public offerings.

After receiving his BA in Marketing from Mississippi State University, he earned his MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Chris J. Jamail, CFP® | Partner, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Chief Operating Officer

Chris is responsible for investment activities related to TCG’s institutional and private clients, including managing and monitoring existing portfolios as well as assisting with strategies for growth. Chris earned his BBA from Texas A&M University and stared his professional career with The Paragon Group, a subsidiary of TCG Group Holdings LLP, later making the transition to TCG Advisors in 2004.

Chris is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and acquired his Group One Life and Health Insurance License along with the Series 6 and 63 FINRA securities licenses.

Blake Rhodes, CFP®, AIF® | Portfolio Manager

After earning his BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, Blake worked as a Registered Representative for Charles Schwab and Co. for nearly 5 years before joining TCG.

He specializes in financial planning and retirement planning, speaking regularly at conferences around the state of Texas. Blake is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and had acquired his Series 7 and 63 FINRA securities licenses.

Matthew W. Escalante | Relationship Manager, Advisory Services

TCG’s man on the ground in California, Matt helps institutional and individual clients in the public and private sector with retirement planning.

Since earning his BBA in management from Cal State University, Fullerton, Matt has acquired his California license in life and health insurance along with the Series 6 and 63 licenses.

Jerry D. Smith | Relationship Manager, Advisory Services

Prior to joining TCG and Fairway Asset Management, Jerry capped off a distinguished golf career with a long and successful tenure as a club professional at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas. Applying life lessons learned under the great Harvey Penick, Jerry has led the charge on tailoring a financial planning approach for golf professionals and many other high net worth clients.

Shannon Andrews | Relationship Manager

With a strong personal emphasis on faith and family, Shannon is uniquely attuned to client needs, both in the planning process and beyond. A graduate of Portland State University, Shannon is a perpetual learner, consistently seeking out educational opportunities in the financial field to remain abreast of best practices to better serve her clients.

Her 25-plus years of financial services experience, not only benefit her TCG and Fairway Asset Management clients, but also the local nonprofits where she volunteers.

Larry Heinrich | Relationship Manager

Larry is passionate about protecting the retirement of the participants in corporate retirement plans,by acting as a fiduciary, in the “sole interest” of plan participants and their beneficiaries. With over 38 years in the financial services industry, the last 15 as a financial advisor, he has the maturity and life experiences to help affluent families and business owners achieve everything that is important to them, utilizing a holistic approach to wealth management. Larry recently merged his practice of over 13 years, Integrated Wealth Partners, into TCG Advisors, allowing him to focus all his time and energy on working with his clients.


Jason "Jay" Dill | Relationship Manager

Jay joined TCG in 2014 with over 20 years under his belt as a sales and marketing professional. His experience with small, midsize, and Fortune 500 clients equips him to understand a wide variety of circumstances to help develop institutional and individual plans to meet client needs. His attention to detail and dedication to unprecedented customer service are cornerstones to Jay's success.

Jay's focus with TCG is on 401(k) and alternative investment strategies.

Parker White | Analyst

Parker joined TCG after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, magna cum laude, with a BBA in Finance. He assists the advisors as a junior analyst and client relationship associate, performing financial planning for clients and analysis on portfolios and strategies. Prior to joining TCG, Parker worked with Merrill Lynch’s Private Wealth Management Group.

Parker’s enthusiasm for financial markets goes back to the age of 17, when he was the youngest individual to pass FINRA’s Series 65 examination.
